Bondage

Sexual bondage involves people being tied up or restrained for pleasure, and appeals to people of both sexes and all sexual orientations.

Literature includes the Story of O, which is an erotic novel published in the1950's about dominance and submissiveness, the illustrations of Robert Bishop ("The Bishop"), and bondage magazines of the 1970s onwards such as Bondage Life, Bound to Pease and Knotty. The magazines have declined with the rise of the Internet as a delivery mechanism for erotica.

Female Domination

Female domination relates to BDSM activities where the dominant partner is a female. The female dominant may also be called a Domme, Domina, Dominatrix or Mistress.

Bettie Page is a famous American fetish model who was often photographed posing as a dominatrix with a whip while wearing fetish attire such as stockings, corsets, and high heeled shoes or boots.

Light female domination scenarios may involve ageplay, erotic spanking, and body worship, usually foot worship. More intense and heavier female domination scenarios may involve facesitting or smothering, which tend to focus on the sub giving the dominant female oral pleasure, or the dominant female using a strap-on dildo. Other forms of more intense female domination can include face slapping, hair pulling, caning, heavy torture and heavy whipping. In extreme scenarios, there is a focus on exchange of bodily fluids and total forfeit of rights by the slave.

Fetishism

Fetishism is a fixation on an inanimate object or body part that is not primarily sexual in nature, and the compulsive need for its use in order to obtain sexual gratification.

Although the list of objects that fetishists can use for gratification is seemingly limitless, among the more common objects are lingerie such as panties, bras, stockings or panty hose, corsets, negligees, glasses, shoes, boots and gloves. Common media objects include leather, latex, rubber, fur, and silk.
